Christy's Story

As Christy was growing up she knew she always wanted to be in the beauty industry. Her influence came from her mom's best friend where she spent many of her days in her salon. As time passed, she ended up in the dental field for 14 years. Having her own children she spent much of her time supporting them in all of their hobbies. When they got to middle school sports became big and she wasn't able to get off of work to watch them play. This is when she knew something had to change because she had never missed any activity of theirs before. She decided to go back to school and do something that she knew was meant for her and take that leap of faith at her age. She attended Mitchell's Academy in Wilson, NC and graduated and eventually got a job working for a commission based salon where she was introduced to Aveda products. After working for someone else for some time her heart still wasn't where it needed to be, she wanted to become her own boss and open her own salon where she could create something with an environment she loved. That's when Bombshells was created.
